Edit: Found a rep willing to refund me 10% back since the $150 wouldn't stack with EPP. Ended up being $800 after tax (30% off + $500 off + $50 off + extra 10%). Damn slick deal!
In addition, in order to get the $50 first time using app, I'm planning to uninstall/install the app until the discount shows up.

I got the link from the support person and I was able to see the discount code 56TFUQYI84. But when I logged into samsung with my EDU account and tried applying the code, it said it was an invalid code. Now I logged into samsung twice once using my regular email acount which is what I provided during my chat session and the 2nd time with an alternative email account which was never used. Both time, the code applied $150 off the REGULAR price of $1499. But it won't work with my EDU account when the cart price is $880. Anyone else figured out how to get it work?

Did confirm, deleting app and reinstalling, I was able to get $50 discount so my cart went from $880 to $830. Now just need to figure out how to get to $723.
In addition, in order to get the $50 first time using app, I'm planning to uninstall/install the app until the discount shows up.

This time, I logged into Samsung with my edu account. I placed the Q990D in the cart which showed a price of $880.04 (not sure how others are seeing it lower). I was able to apply the $50 discount for first time app usage so price was $830.04. Taxes was $54.99. Final total was $885.03.
The sales rep said that they would be able to provide a 10% partial refund AFTER I placed the order AND when it was delivered to my place. I asked them what the final total would be and she indicated it would be $70-88 less (she wasn't sure if it was before or after taxes I guess). So my final shipped total including taxes would be like $800. That's not exactly the $650 I was hoping for, from last May's deal. But it's 5/6/2025 and the Q990F is already out so guessing with tariff situation, we don't get the fire sale this year??
I did ask the sales rep if there is a price match if Samsung does reduce the price in the next 30 days. All she could say was I would have to cancel my order and start a new one if it does happen.
It probably won't ship for like a week so I may see have a little time to cancel if price drops
