Since nintendo announced that the Switch Pro Controllers will work with the Switch 2, I imagine most third party controllers *should* work as well. They just won't have the additional buttons.

That being said, personally I prefer the 8bitdo controllers [amazon.com] over Hori. Not that Hori are bad, I've had several of their controllers for various Nintendo systems over the years, and they've all been fine. But the 8bitdo just feel better, at least IMHO.

Which is the better third party brand HORI or PowerA? Looking at this or the PowerA Enhanced Wireless for $40.

If only they made bedding... I'd definitely buy a Hori Sheet!

I have 3 8bitdo controllers (Pro 2 version). Two out of three have sticky A button. The warranty dept said the controllers were out of warranty after one year, but when I contacted them it was just under the one year, it just went over the year when they wrote back. Meh.

Probably gunk from your finger, I'd disassemble and clean it out with IPAGoing to add Hori doesn't not have vibration, since I mostly play single player games on switch this broke immersion so I returned

You should have fought them on that. You effectively made the warranty claim within the warranty window.

my older 8bitdo pro has developed stick drift. Still better than the Nintendo Pro controller though. However, I have had nothing but great experiences with Hori.

I don't think the first gen 8Bitdo Switch controllers (with the flat face) had hall effect analogue sticks. Also, the layout on that first gen was terrible. I bought one to keep at the office for Smash tournaments, and was constantly mashing the Home button by mistake. I ended up replacing it with an OEM Pro Controller. But I own a bunch of other 8Bitdo for Switch and PC, and Hori controllers for Switch and Wii/Wii U. Never had any other problems with either brand. My fight stick has taken a TON of abuse with no problems. My son's PC controller (8bitdo Ultimate 2C) gets gummed up from eating snacks while playing, but that's an easy fix with isopropyl alcohol. Now as for Logitech, they are absolute trash....

I have more trust in Hori. But I haven't touched PowerA is many years, so they may have improved since I last tried one.
