Seems like a good deal. Does anyone know if this works with Gillette fusion handle?

Expensive AF. I got an 8 pack of blades and a razor for $10 at Costco on clearance. That was a fantastic deal.

Four count isn't part of the promotion, only 12ct cartridge pack and the razor/2ct cartridge combo is

I bought three packs when SD had the pack (I thought it was seven plus a handle) for $23 and at least for me, I found zero difference as compared to the Pro Glides. At least with my tough beard, they're not worth the premium price. I typically buy Pro Glides on eBay for about $2.25 per blade. I just make sure I buy from a 98% or higher U.S. seller. I've never bought a bad blade even if they are knockoffs (as compared to once buying from an offshore seller and I nearly ripped my face off when trying to save a buck).

Target sometime got these on sale through their eBay outlet. I bought a handle on a SD deal and still haven't got to use it.

I guess for this thread *I'm* the guy to point out an alternate product, though this might be interpreted as a TC.

Dorco.

Remember them? Used to sell mail order direct, they manufacture handles and blades under their own name, for Dollar Shave Club, and for other no-name razor companies? They now sell exlusively in the States via Amazon. And although their prices have gone up since making that move a few years ago their products are still good, reliable, and inexpensive.... their blades are interchangable with all of their handles, so you can move to a new product line whenever you want to give more (or fewer) blades a spin and aren't locked-in to a specific flavor or style of cart just because you have a handle that's "keyed" to only one specific type of refill (cough "Gillette" cough).... they just work, and they don't cost an arm and a leg.

Their starter pack with handle and ten cartridges will only set you back $20-25 before S&S discounts, roughly the same price for their 16-cardridge refill sets Here's their Amazon storefront:

https://www.amazon.com/stores/pag...64093540EE

4 blade, 6 blade, 7 blade (6 front + 1 trimmer on rear), even 3 blade if that's your thing. And because all of the blades are interchangable with all handles, regardless of the name on the packaging (Dorco, DSC, Costco, Sam's Club, etc), Dorco is now the No 2 firm in the private label market in both Europe and the US..... and you can often undercut even their QUITE reasonable online prices by going through third party or private sellers on eBay to stock-up. My last two eBay purchases were for a 20-pack of 4-blade carts for $21 and a 16-pack of 6-blade carts for $19.

So... there are options out there that don't break the bank and that don't force you into the Gillette ecosystem. And options are good.

Dorco shredded my face pretty badly. I can only use Gilette for some reason. They're all I can use and not get nicked besides safety blades.

it's because Dorco is trash like Harry's or any other "new and affordable" style blade

Gillete is the only brand people with straight safety edge razors recommend if their normal razor is not available

It's really not that expensive even if you use one blade per week

One blade lasted me a year and a half. First blade I've had to not rust and stayed mostly sharp. I am quite impressed. Dollar shave was crap, for reference. I just use it to shave my neck after lopping off the bulk with my trimmer.

You dont need Gillette if you are broke, use something else

I can afford 1-2 heads a week without thinking twice about it

Either make more money or make more sense
