Got one of these as part of the $399 deal a few weeks ago. The stock photo is trash, Google gretsch amethyst to get a better idea of the actual color. Great guitar, just a quick tune out of the box and I was good. I have had none of the tuning issues that some have reported because of the biggsby. Came UPS to my house here in michigan 2 days after ordering. According to the build card that came with mine it was built in China in June of last year so I suspect that there is a bunch of these in a warehouse stateside that they are getting rid of. I really couldn't be happier with mine, if you are on the fence, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

It is a good deal, I bought a Single Barrel Burst a couple of weeks ago, the bigsby handle fell right out of the box and you need to pull out the string to put the handle back, I just sent the guitar back as it is going to happen again and again, given to poor assembly in China.

I think that's just a bad example of likely a great guitar. Guitars made in China aren't inherently bad.

I have played Shijie and they are awesome, nothing against guitars made in China, it is about the assembly, if they would have put 1 drop of loctite threadlocker, the bigsby handle was not separated out in first 15 minutes out of the box, or may be its an old manufacturing so what they put to hold the nut wore off.
