The director's cut of this is so good. I still can't justify paying ~$47 (after tax) for one movie though :/

It's unlikely this steelbook will sell out like Tombstone 4K did. Of course top dollar to shake down the hardcore fans of the movies, then the price drops as the sales volume drops, too.

It's already sold out at Walmart.com and Target.com right now and it's been only about a week since it became available for Pre-sale. It's still available at Amazon only because the price there is still MSRP. However it might sell out there as well as it is # 2 right now on Best Sellers list on movies there. Tombstone 4k Steelbook sold out quickly at all major online retailers although you can find them for jacked up price on EBay now. Not only was it a great movie but Van Kilmer's death also has an effect on the sales of this movie.

Don't get FOMO. Just like I feel for not getting on the Lawrence of Arabia 4K steelbook sale

Thank You! Repp'd was so upset when I missed the $40 at Walmart. I pre-ordered for $56 at Amazon hoping it would drop before release. Sound and visuals in my top 10, cannot wait for this re-release. Thanks again!

There is a reprint of Lawrence of Arabia 4K steelbook. I got one for around $20. A lot of Sony steelbooks got reprinted. I was flipping a couple of steelbooks like Spider-Man but the reprints killed me.

I can't help you get one cheap because I got the reprint from eBay last year. For reference, the original was released on June 7 2022.

Target does B2G1 regularly, and Amazon had 3 for $33 on 4K many times. I got some really good deals spending less than $10 for newly released 4K titles. This is a Disney title, and Disney has some of the most outrageous prices on new releases. If you want Moana 2 or Mufasa, you have to buy their expensive steelbooks. I did for Inside Out 2 4K because it was a decent movie.

In fairness, steels got expensive. Plastic also got expensive because oil is needed to make plastic and both went up in prices because of the trade war.

I love this movie so much I had to pay $35 out of FOMO. Some Disney 4K sells out fast (but not the two crappy movies I mentioned) and I don't want to end up paying $100 to an eBay scalper.
