I've been waiting on a deal for Bosch batteries, but this might be the next best thing. I have a drill that's around 10 years old and works great, but was down to one battery. I can imagine the saw being convenient and the driver looks nice as well.

I had resigned myself to switching away from Bosch as I keep hearing they are exiting the US retail market, but if these last as long as my last drill and battery did, I'll go another round with Bosch.

Yes, the saw will cost more than $50 and you are getting a 4ah + 2ah battery instead of 2X 2ah batteries.

As for the light, I could personally find uses for it. I mean, who doesn't need a flashlight or a working light?

I think another question to ask yourself is whether this is a start to a larger tool collection, and if it is, are you willing to mix and match, or stick to one brand - in this instance Bosch.

I bought a 6 piece dewalt set 5 years ago and have used everything in that set. any new battery operated tools I get now are Dewalt. that's just my example tho.

Wow, these combo kits are getting so cheap these days. It's almost stupid to buy a new battery. You can just buy a whole new kit for the price of two batteries.

How about "8-Tool Craftsman V20 Max Power Tool Combo Kit w/ 2 Batteries & Charger". That combo has few additional tools such as fan, oscillating tool, jigsaw, orbital sander for same price. Which one should I go? FYI, I am first time homeowner and have very less knowledge about these tools but planning to take up some DIY work soon
