Why would you use a VPN? You would need to sign up for a new account through the Japan region store Did u make a new account for the Japan region? I have two accounts on my ps5 one for US and one for Japan. Doesn't need a VPN but you do need to be on a Japanese account to redeem to code I would imagine.

Maybe you need a Japan PlayStation account, no? 🤔 I've never bought codes from other countries and used them on my US or MX account.
Ah this very well could be. OP simply said to use a VPN, but that could be the missing step

Yeah if it's Japanese region which eneba says it is, you'll need a Japanese psn account.
