Useful as a hook breaker if you gut hook a fish. I keep one in my pack when I go out fishing just in case and it has proven really useful over the years

These are really helpful to clip nails easily. The long handles give plenty of leverage. They also come in handy when you have to snip something off inside a wall or other cavity where you can not reach with a normal pair of side cutters.

I usually use these for removing (not cutting) nails. They bite into the nail really nicely and have a bent head to allow you to pry stuff out with them. Unlike a pry bar or claw side of the hammer, you can grab any part of the nail and walk it out without relying on the head of the nail.
