Heads up, pretty poor reviews on Amazon. Only a 3.6/5.

Good hardware, bad everything else, they keep decreasing the price on these as they were $70 or $80 just two weeks ago I believe. They are lowering and lowering till someone buys, if these drop down to like $20 ill bite, just to mess around with them.

Them not having wired backhaul was the really puzzling move.

I can see that the market segment who pays top dollar for consumer electronics with white rounded cases is scared of cables. And I guess that the probability of seeing PoE at fire sale prices is going down over time instead of up. But I like my WAPs with 3rd party firmware to be switches too. My walls can't get wartier.

For 20 I'll buy two sets and use it for my IOT items so I can separate them from my computer.

These do have a wired backhaul, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

You just can't have the dedicated wireless backhaul running simultaneously, which defeats the purpose of getting a mesh setup.

If you want a wired backhaul, there's plenty of far better APs out there.

Literally two seconds to Google it.

How do you come to rebuttal someone but actually not provide a link to the source..... two second google and a top reviewer says it does NOT have hardwired back haul.

Directly under the specification section for the hardware. So unless you provide me something more current showing it got added at a later point, I am just going to assume you are wrong, since you failed to provide a source.

Now there is a comment in his comment section saying that wired backhaul got activated after an update, but no verification by Dong to that besides a good to know comment.

Also at $25 a piece no you would not be able to find better AP's for the price.... Please find us a Triband AX6600 AP for cheaper.

Again I dont recommend these cause software is crap, but if the price drops to like $20 to play with or take a risk on why not.

Not my job to do your homework.

Just pointing out that you're wrong and don't understand mesh networking very well, so as to not misinform others.

You don't have to go past the product page to see that it has a dedicated wireless backhaul, which negates your complaint of a supposed need for a wired backhaul even though it does support it as you so easily found.

Dong isn't the be all to end all on hardware. He rarely does follow-up reviews and certainly not on brands you can leave on snooze like Arris. If it got added later, I don't see how that's my fault for having access to Google however long past his review was posted.

As for $25 APs, where did I mention price?

Also, make up your mind. These are apparently not cheap enough to be worth it to you, yet you're using them as the best $25 AP you can buy in your strawman argument.

And I QUOTE

"

So might want to work on that educating yourself and mesh before fronting....

Also worthy enough for me to spend $20 on to play around with. You clearly said and I quote again.

"If you want a wired backhaul, there's plenty of far better APs out there."

So for one you already knew I was talking about WIRED but still had to double down and pretend I was talking about wireless, and for two when you compare far better product PRICE is always one of the criteria, even without removing the price, you wont find a $25 AX6600 AP.

So yeah apologize whenever you want....

Would anyone recommend this if I just need good hardware and I don't need any advanced features? I can stand the painful process of first setup.
