why are these on sale? I thought items like this will see double prices pretty soon with the tariffs 😬

I bought the "NEXPOW 4000A Car Battery Jump Starter with 150 PSI Air Compressor" about 2 months ago. I won't consistently turn on when hitting the power button. Also the cigarette lighter adapter receptacle will only work for about a second. Any others have issues with this brand?

The listing is for an Avapow and the trouble mentioned is with a Nexpow. I purchased a Nexpow 3000a jump starter without an air compressor about a month ago. Had trouble getting it to charge and eventually got it to by changing charging cord and wall charger. Have not had a chance to use it so don't know if it will work when needed. Fortunately, all my chargers have worked when needed.

The Avapow in this listing has the following ratings. 72% (152) 5 star BUT also has 9% (20) one star where it didn't work. The one stars seem to be spread out over time and not all bunched up recently. The one stars are split with some saying it won't take a charge and others saying it didn't do it's job.

I had two - one wouldn't charge after 6 months (I used it once) and the other charged but wouldn't activate jump start.

I had replied yesterday saying I purchased the Nexpow 3000a jump starter a month ago and had trouble charging it, but eventually did get it to charge.

Ironically today for the first time, I had a chance to try it and it failed to jump the car. When I plugged in the cables to the unit, the green light was blinking as it should. I connected it to the car with the dead battery and it didn't jump at all. Tried another jump starter that's been sitting in the car for months and is about 5 years old and not even fully charged. As soon as I connected that one I heard the dinging from the key being in ignition and the door open. There was no dinging from the Nexpow. Sure enough the old one with not even a full charge worked and jumped the car.

I did purchase the Nexpow from Walmart ( same as this deal) and it's still returnable for a few more weeks even though it's already over a month. Had a feeling I should have returned it as soon as I had trouble charging it.

Does your Nexpow have an override button to jump start a battery with very low voltage? A lot of the Lithium battery packs don't have this feature and can't recognize when a dead battery is actually connected, or check for reverse polarity so it's a safety feature. A few of the Nexpows (and others like NOCO) have an override button. I have the Nexpow 4000A AP1 (yellow and black) from Walmart. Said it had a smart jumper cable so I I thought it had the override button, but it doesn't. Maybe it's setup differently. Looks like the green and yellow AP1 has the override red button on the jumper cable:

The one I have:

I have an old VW. Wanted to try the Nexpow, and a Battery Tender jump starter that uses an AGM battery I believe, without the actual battery in the car.
