The two times I have bought Geek Squad Certified Refurbished AirPods they have come very clean but I still took the time to disinfect them before putting in my ears.

For refurbished and only 90 day warranty ( according to the specs at Best Buy) imho not a good deal.

Best Buy very quietly removed the ability to add a protection plan for geek squad refurbs, and I was told by more than one associate that the apple geek squad refurbs are now provided from a 3rd party. That may explain why they don't allow a protection plan. There still is the extended return window for plus and total though.
That said, I had some rewards that expired soon so I bit on these yesterday when it was a deal of the day.

Yes violet is right, i can confirm as i bought these for $85 last night. It was a limited deal that ended around midnight. Were the same as these certified refurb from best but WITH ANC.

That might also explain why my local store refused to accept a return of my refurb Pro 2's that were still linked to the prior owner's apple account.
