Apparently it got down to 159 on Amazon recently, but outside of that or a like new in box Amazon Warehouse deal this is about as cheap as this gets somewhere reputable (Woot is part of Amazon)

I'm torn on whether to pull the trigger or not. I don't really have much use for it, but I kinda want it if it's a really good deal. Someone please weigh in—I could use a second opinion.

What's your use case? Do you want to polish your car? If you're not into using a polisher every day, get a cheaper "long throw" random orbit polisher from harbor freight or Amazon. A rotary polisher like this one is a more aggressive tool and it's easy for an inexperienced operator to burn through your clearcoat.

That was my sole purpose for using this. Thank you for your feedback!

No problem, I do suggest checking out some car polishing vids on the YouTubes, there are many which go through the process really well, and it's imperative to do the prep work not only to get a good result but also to avoid doing expensive damage.
This tool would be great for someone polishing up their pontoon boat, or for more advanced users polishing up really oxidized paint.

Home Depot has a Ryobi Dual Action Orbit Polisher with a 4.0 battery and a charger for $180.00. The Dual Action polishers by Milwaukee and Dewalt are both nearly $300.00 a pop. I'm sure they're really nice, but that's a lot of cheddar. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../319360861

I'm all in on DeWalt cordless but this polisher just not enough use case to buy at even this price. Unless you're a detailer and use everyday, I have a corded version that I'll drag out the extension to use rather than spending this.

I feel like this thing probably burns right through 5amp packs pretty quick. Wood orbital sander isn't that great either, nice for small touch ups but don't use for anything big

Can't you just use a drill? This seems like an unnecessary tool

Not for what this tool is truly designed for. This is a "if you don't know what you'd do with it you don't need it" kind of tool. For someone polishing large objects like cars, boats, etc, it's quite useful.

I have a different brand but professional level buffer like this. It's not hard to use, edges are really the area to watch but just make sure to swirl off the edge, not into the edge. (Think edge of door) I don't use it flat on a surface but at an angle to the surface, at a lower speed. The big plus of this unit is the battery vs having a cord over your shoulder, which often falls & gets in the way. Hope the thoughts help!
