This is open box as stated. Depends on your local store.

Buy this type of sub (i.e. manufactured by a speaker-first company, hugely overpriced given its mediocre performance, sold purely on consumer ignorance/wishful-thinking) only if you are under draconian WAF constraints. Otherwise, any decent ported sub like an RSL 10S would eat it for lunch at 1/4 of the price.

Amen. I don't know what rational person would pay this much when they can get the 14 inch Klipsch RP-1400SW for $700, which would make this sound like a whoopie cushion in comparison. 😄

Got to be reasonable to use case scenario. I purchased one because I have two svs 3000 micros. Why do I use those inferior subs? Because I have neighbors and I live in an apartment. Some people don't want to disturb others in their vary own household.
These dual driver subs cancel vibration, yet produce base.
Second, I will be using this strictly for music and kef makes fantastic products. I've always wanted this and basically the smaller 62 variant is the same price.
For 1000 it's acceptable, and I'm not saying it's the wisest way to spend your money unless what I just mentioned matters. For me and potentially others, it might make sense.

Have you never heard of a GAIN KNOB? Just turn it down, and don't be blasting music at odd hours. I lived in an apartment with paper thin walls, floors and ceilings, where you could easily hear people fighting or copulating. When I moved out 5 years later, neighbors were shocked to see me lugging a 70lb 12" ported sub. It's called using COMMON SENSE.

Those dual radiators don't do anything you couldn't do by simply boosting the mid-bass frequencies using any modern day receiver's EQ, btw. Just a bunch of sales/marketing malarkey.
