Regardless....scroll down to see that you can click to show your 2 selected stores' availability. If not available there, change your stores in your settings. Go back and look again. You must uncheck your stores in order to check on different ones (if you want to try others) BS really sucks now as they limit you this way for checking.

The cloud features are also nice. $49/yr gets the lower tier of the gopro subscription service, which they call "Premium", and that comes with lower cost accessories as well as full-res cloud uploading and storage of all footage, directly uploaded from the camera. The camera can be set to upload when plugged in to charge, and to wipe the card automatically after uploading. I periodically sync all the footage back to my computer using this script [github.com]. After uploading footage, their cloud service also sends me terrible 2-3 minute automated edits of the footage that are still amusing to look at.
So it's fun to chase the kids around with the little camera, or to get creative with camera position using the stick, or to hand the thing over to the kids and let them run with it, and then to just plug it in when we get home to charge and sync.
And the experimental features they freely make available in the optional 'Labs' firmware are great, for those who mess with such things. I'm using it to shoot 10-bit h265 in a log colorspace at 180mbps these days.
This is all moot as all I'm seeing on brickseek is "This product is not available to search right now". I just have been enjoying the camera lately.
There will ALWAYS be something "better" just around the corner. And if you beat yourself up everytime something new shows up, then you'll be battered and bruised your entire life.
Simply ask yourself -- is this something I can actually use? Does it meet my needs? If so, get it at the best price/value you can get -- and only upgrade when you have a clearly articulated, justified reason to do so.
If possible, fix and repair. Learn to do without. Be comfortable with buying used. Sell your old gear instead of throwing it out.

It sounds like the problem isn't the company releasing a new product every 8 months, but you simply not needing or using the products you buy.
