Having had hands on experience with two B4s, the interface is noticeably more laggy, both while adjusting settings in menus and using the built in apps, due to a lower end processor. It lags more than my 2 year old C2. Granted once you get your settings the way you like them, and if you use a device like an Apple TV 4K, Roku or Fire Stick, those things aren't a big issue. The bigger issue is the B4 doesn't have Dolby Precision Detail for Dolby Vision content, which is also because of that processor. Precision Detail is a setting only available on the Cinema Home and Vivid (don't use vivid) presets, that noticeably increases the brightness and detail of Dolby Vision content even further. Even the C2 has that feature. The B4 is also a few hundred nits dimmer. If none of that stuff matters to you, the B4 still has the same great color and image. It just has those drawbacks.

I wish LG would just sell this for $1500 and stop trying to throw free sound bars at us.

Right price, can't buy as I'm ineligible.

It's like walking to a pick-up game of soccer with all your favorite pro players and being refused entry because you're wearing the wrong brand of cleats.

Just got yet another email from Capital One Shopping offering up to 20% in rewards. 😅
Maximum cash back is $250 so 18 or 20% doesn't make a difference

It am has to be a lot more widespread since I got 5 panels that all failed in less than 300 hours in a row and over the course of like four years.
They can't all be from " the same bad batch" can they.
They sent different repair companies too, it wasn't even always the same people that came out.
Not seeing articles means nothing those are all shills who will just do everything to cover it up that is how media works.
Nothing but shills making excuses just like the current situation with Nintendo switch 2 and the price backlash.
All those outlets are in the tank for these companies because they are the sponsors and they know who pays the bills.
I am surprised there are not any class action suits yet though or maybe there were but I really haven't looked into It yet.
I just know I will never buy another LG product again and I Will not buy any other TV that uses their panels.
They have sufficiently demonstrated thar they have zero quality control standards for something like this to ever have happened at all ,even if it was rare and I severely doubt that it is.
What would you recommend as an alternative for $2K or less?
I have a ~2017 samsung UN65MU6500 65" curved that I'm looking to replace due to possible backlight/dimming issues (tv has a very blue tint).
Ideally a 75" that would be going in a "bright" apartment living room.

Hisense 75U8N. I'm currently cross shopping that and the LG 77" OLEDs (B4 and C4). Still haven't decided yet. Current TV is an LG 65B7A OLED from 2017/18 with 15K hours and some severe burn-in. Terrible light reflections during the day as 10 feet of windows directly across the room from the TV (but I don't watch much TV during the day).

Thanks. I'm also torn between going with a more budget-friendly TV like the Hisense you mentioned or stepping up to an OLED. My TV wouldn't be facing direct sunlight—light comes in through windows on the right side (apartment living room), so while it's not direct, the room still gets a fair amount of natural light. There will also likely be a small lamp positioned directly beneath the TV.

Having used a curved TV, I've probably taken for granted the reduced glare, and I've heard that OLEDs like this model can struggle with brightness, especially in lighter rooms. Also have read some reviews about the "green tint". Coming from this old of a TV, I'm probably overthinking my decision.

For me the price is shown as $1799.99 .After applying promo an tax the grand total is coming as $1,737.43. Is anyone seeing $1620 as mentioned by OP ?
1620 is without sales tax since tax is dependent on your location.

C4>>b4. Don't do it,
The 83" B4 is a bit of an anomoly. It stands out as the only B4 that shares the same processor as the C4 variant. It also does 144Hz VRR as well just like the C4. The only slight advantage the 83" C4 has is in brightness, and just by a tiny bit. This applies ONLY to the 83" variants. Essentially, the 83" B4 is so close to the 83" C4 that it's crazy to spend $1000 more for the C4.

Honestly don't know at this point
I don't know what I am going to do either since my TV just went yesterday
I might just get a cheap TV and wait for micro LED because OLED just sucks and it's a ridiculous technology.
I wish I kept my Plasma.
I still have it but now I changed the mount to a Sanus full motion arm and no way it will support that behemoth.
I would say get a plasma and wait for micro LED at this point.
Or a cheap TV.
It's not even worth spending the money on any of the garbage they are pushing today.
The LED backlight systems have tendency to fail a lot too.
But if you are handy you can probably fix it yourself for cheap, not as cheap as before the end it deminimus though.
Now ordering parts from AliExpress to fix LED back lights will be a lot more expensive.

I rather spend the money on an ultra short throw projector than these garbage TV's they are making.
I picked up a cheap Epson brightlink 695wi for the yard for like $100 on eBay
It's only 1080p but you can get nuce large picture with hardly any throw distance.

I was looking at the Bravia 8 but
I am never going to trust LG panels ever again. They suck
OLED as a whole sucks too
Every OLED phone I have has severe burn in.
All this OLED crap will just end up in a landfill in less than a years time.

The total black out effect is cool when you are watching something and the screen goes black and the room is suddenly pitch dark but I had that with plasma sort of , I mean the phosphorus does still glow a little.
But I am spoiled from the OLED, the whole maybe 100 hours I actually got to use it.
It's just a ridiculous technology and not practical at all and should be pulled from the market.
Having thousand dollar panels or multi thousand dollar panels that go in the scrap pile every few months is not sustainable at all.
Boy, you are so over dramatic. EVERY OLED phone had burn in? Panels going out every few months? If this were true, then nobody would be buying OLED tvs. There would be a class action lawsuit. Get a grip. Stop lying and embellishing.

Prior to my previously described Samsung TV, I had a 2013 LG 60PN6500 Plasma that I loved, but the picture died on me after ~4 years.
Thanks for the advice.

Good luck with their shipping if you live more than 25 miles away from their distribution centers, their shipping has gone absolutely awful, truly I mean good luck.

That was a pricing error, so unlikely to happen again
May be but not sure. There was additional discount + Parks10 coupon.
Every week they change the promotion, so keep monitoring.

Anyone else getting asked to add their zip code prior to checkout to "check for delivery availability in your area"?

Can you turn these TVs into the wall art frame like Samsung?
