The physical cartridge price for Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2 is $90. Nintendo has set a new pricing structure for Switch 2 games, with digital versions priced at $80 and physical cartridge versions at $90, reflecting a $10 increase over previous generation game prices.
$90 AAA games are here folks.
By that, I mean in terms of big N going for a smaller audience at more profit.
Glad I skipped that generation. I ended up getting most of their 'off' product lines like the N64 used at the end of the console cycle, but skipped the WiiU entirely.

Dude is saying release date price + counting inflation and overall cost of goods increases
Switch is 8 years old. Stuff, especially technology, is worth less and less after it's been released unless you reach 'collector' age but that doesn't happen much anymore due to production quantity.
Inflation calculator says $300 item in 2017 would be $391.40 today. The point being Switch 2 being priced at $450, is equivalent to paying $340 (pre-tax) for Switch back in 2017.
