Vote with your wallet. Buy it if you think what Nintendo is doing is okay, if this is how you want to be treated; the choice is yours.

That's fair - I'm hoping the thread is helpful though for those trying to get ahold of one and not have to pay over retail on any marketplace.

Anyone know if Costco will offer anything?
When it is actually released I'm sure they will. But not for pre-orders.

Anyone who has the money for $90 games needs to move out of their parents basement and get a real job. Supporting this price gouging is wrong.

No Hall effect joysticks..Hard pass. They had a real chance to address stick drift once and for all, but chose not to—just to keep cashing in on controller replacements every year.
Hall effect sticks aren't the magical fix everything thingamajigs you think they are. There's zero indication at this point to think that Ninendo didn't improve stick QC.

Damn, I thought SlickDeals people were high-information consumers. These comments have proven otherwise, it's like I'm on Reddit.
You do have to weed through the obvious ignorance a bit...

Thinking OLED is the make or break, do or die factor is a very dated way to go about this. You can see comparisons of the screens online and there's devices out there like the Lenovo Legion Go that has an LCD people say looks better than an OLED.
As someone with the Legion Go. Yup.

I'm wondering how long Nintendo will be able to keep these at MSRP.
It's been suggested the price is a little inflated due to them expecting the tariffs. It's hard to fault that as a business decision. If that's true then the price will likely not ever go up - only down as component pricing decreases (pretty normal for console lifetimes).

Of course if sales are sluggish then all bets are off, but it takes a little time to know if price is even the issue when it comes to that - systems don't always take off right away.

games are not $90, that is misinformation spread by confusion. $80 is still too much for Mario Kart tho

This is the silliest stance I have ever seen someone take. If you don't want to pay for it….fine

Do I agree with Nintendo raising the price? No.

Do I think attributing people who do end up buying the console as jobless people who live in their parents basement?….

I've seen a lot of straw man arguments in my day…this one takes the cake.

This Nintendo Switch Pro will go down like the PS5 Pro. Overpriced and low sales. Keep your original switch boiis, like Greedtendo said.
Just say you're broke lmao.

This thing it's too expensive for what it is. Asus rog ally x.. legion go.... i don't know why anyone will buy this at this price. It isn't more powerful than the rog ally x... so i am going to pass until it is cheaper. Cheers everyone.

I don't think there is going to be a demand for these like some ppl think. The pricing point is turning a lot of ppl off. I don't know a single person personally that is willing to pay this price for this console and the game prices. I would not be in the game of flipping these for profit like past consoles. I think a lot of ppl are going to lose money trying tho. Also, I cannot recommend enough buying a steam deck over this console at this price point. Everything about a steam deck is better than what this will be. Thats just my opinion

I didn't know your steam deck could play Botw at 4k 60 fps? Or play the newest Mario kart? Insane!

I'm hoping you're right because $450 already feels like a stretch for a non-oled switch.
