Vote with your wallet. Buy it if you think what Nintendo is doing is okay, if this is how you want to be treated; the choice is yours.

That's fair - I'm hoping the thread is helpful though for those trying to get ahold of one and not have to pay over retail on any marketplace.

Hall effect sticks aren't the magical fix everything thingamajigs you think they are. There's zero indication at this point to think that Ninendo didn't improve stick QC.
Considering when asked about stick drift during the Q&A they completely ignored the question which gives me little hope it won't occur on the new joycons.

The confirmation comes after Nintendo pointedly refused to offer details about the Switch 2's joystick hardware at a roundtable Q&A session attended by Ars last week. When a reporter asked whether stick drift "is the sort of thing that has been improved with the Joy-Con 2 and the Pro Controller 2 as well," Switch 2 Technical Director Tetsuya Sasaki responded (via a translator) that the "new Joy-Con 2 controllers have been designed from the ground up from scratch to have bigger movement, and also a lot smoother movement.

I didn't know your steam deck could play Botw at 4k 60 fps? Or play the newest Mario kart? Insane!
I can play switch games for free on my steam deck with an emulator. The new mariokart will eventually be available at some point. It's not your job to defend Nintendo on the internet to strangers. Ppl can have different opinions than you.

No Hall effect joysticks..Hard pass. They had a real chance to address stick drift once and for all, but chose not to—just to keep cashing in on controller replacements every year.

There was some digging in regards to the new sticks. It sure looks like Nintendo changed the way they're made on the Switch 2 compared to the Switch 1 but they're not exactly hall effect because Nintendo doesn't want to pay for the patent of using Hall effect sticks and created something of their own. It's a wait and see for some if these new analog sticks actually last though.

Just curious, though. What is your source?

$450 for PS4 graphics, no thanks. And I am a Nintendo fan, but they are getting to the point of delusion.

You'd think they'd mention that when asked during the Q&A and not completely ignore the question

Don't worry, you won't have a problem. I have a feeling it won't sell as well as the Switch did.

Most flagship phones use OLED screens. They are dependable and look amazing.

The big downside to OLED is that the color brown doesn't show up too well so when you're done brown nosing nintendo and you take a selfie on your $50 nintendo brand 360p camera they refurbished from 2002 you wouldn't see the poop streak on your face very well. That's why they stick with this old technology, you see.

I didn't say anything about OLED downsides. 🙂

AMOLED is OLED, no matter how you look at it. That is why it is AM-OLED.
