At midnight exactly, it showed all preorders were done and I was like "ain't no way" so I kept refreshing until 12:02, got the order in with a Pro Controller (not realizing my current Pro Controller would work) and back to sleep by 12:05 with the email showing my order was placed.

The hidden gem of the Switch is it's e-shop. There are literally thousands of indie games priced between $1.99 to $30, and a lot of them are must plays. Plus these games go on sale for even less money. You can tag games via a wish list and check back to see which ones are discounted.
If you pay for online support (I pay for the family account) you also have access to NES, Super Nintendo, Game Boy and GBA games as well. Also Nintendo Online is cheaper than online offered by Sony and Microsoft.
True. but back then you had to go camp in front of the store overnight instead of be a keyboard/mouse warrior. I remember going to Circuit City at 9pm to camp overnight to get a PS2 at launch day. rained late morning around 4am. got to talk games with a bunch of guys waiting so it was an experience. I kind of miss it in a way but man it's also a bad experience
