I've been waiting for this one because it has the larger sensor, better low light performance, better audio, longer battery, new AI chips for faster processing, and it can record both flat and 360 mode at the same time which the X4 couldn't. I don't have an X4 because I was worried about the lens getting scratched and not being replaceable, but the X5 has replaceable lenses now too so I placed the order.

I could just walk/hike with the Insta360 10 ft above my head and reframe it later.

Haha, totally not a joke. I got a lot of bewildered looks. I just did it for a few minutes at a time to capture the scenery I wanted and then collapsed it back all the way.
