Even tho it's not a 'surge protector' it says it has a circuit board with an overvoltage and overcurrent protection circuitry. Surge protectors are primarily for lighning strike effects on the nearby power grid, but this more addresses any 'dirty power' condition that may come from your utility company's lines, such as a temporary elevated voltage over normal or such.

The funny part of that so-called "lifetime" equipment protection coverage is that it says (quote)" *For the purpose of this connected equipment warranty, "lifetime" is defined as the lifetime of the product."
So it seems to me if their power strip shorts out or malfunctions, melts or catches fire, and is close enough to your equipment to cause damage OR doesn't cut off when under an overvoltage condition, they just may say that occurred at the end of the lifetime of the product. lol

I have one of these that I use in hotel rooms to more conveniently charge stuff and it works well. Would recommend a white one for that purpose so it stands out more and you're less likely to forget it.

This. Even brand new equipment from Anker (and others) still has 2-3 USB-C, and 1-2 USB-A. I have zero plugs with USB A now and I plan on keeping it that way forever. Buying a power brick with ANY USB A is one of those first world problem annoyances that I can't shake.

The price is not all that bad and could be very helpful reaching an otherwise inaccessible wall outlet.
The USB-A is not a deal breaker for me, but the lack of current is. 2.4A between -two ports- is abysmal. You can barely charge anything at that rate, and you'd be stuck at only having one cable plugged in to do it, so you'd be relegated to slow charge/trickle charge overnight if you use both ports.
