Here's everything you need to know about Google Fi's Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 deal, whether you're paying upfront or financing. I also include credit pull details and monthly costs so you can decide if it's right for you.
Google Fi Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 Promo – Full Breakdown (With and Without Financing)
You must keep the line active and in good standing for 24 months to get all credits
---
OPTION A – PAY UPFRONT (NO HARD CREDIT PULL)
At Checkout:
Pay $699 for Pixel 9 Pro (after $300 discount)
Pay $349 for Pixel Watch 3 (after $100 discount)
Pay sales tax upfront on both
No financing, so NO hard credit check
Each Month (for 24 months):
Plan: $35
Credit: $43.66
Result: Your plan is fully covered and you get ~$8.66 extra per month, which can be used toward taxes or other fees (but doesn't roll over or get refunded)
Best for: People avoiding a credit check and okay paying upfront
---
OPTION B – FINANCE THE DEVICES (HARD CREDIT PULL REQUIRED)
At Checkout:
Pay $0 for the devices (except taxes)
Finance Pixel 9 Pro ($29.12/mo)
Finance Pixel Watch 3 ($14.54/mo)
This triggers a HARD credit pull
Each Month (for 24 months):
Plan: $35
Devices: $43.66
Credit: $43.66
Result: You still just pay $35/month total — credits cancel out the device payments
Best for: People who prefer monthly payments and don't mind a hard inquiry
---
AFTER 24 MONTHS:
You own both devices
Bill credits stop
You continue paying for the Google Fi plan ($35/mo unless changed)
Any leftover credit in a month does not carry over or get refunded
---
TL;DR:
You can avoid a hard credit pull only if you pay for BOTH the phone and watch upfront
You'll still get $43.66/month in credits, which more than covers the $35/mo plan
Any extra credit each month can only be used that month, no rollovers or payouts
Just curious, if you take advantage of both the phone and watch offers, the up front cost (after discounts) is $1050 ($700 for the 9 Pro phone + $350 for the Pixel Watch) . ($1050 / 24 months) = $43.75. If the plan is $35 a month, are they sending you a check for $8.35 each month? I suspect hidden fees and taxes consume the remaining $8.35, but I can't imagine you would be paying much after credits. So you would be paying for the phone and watch and basically getting service for 2 years for "free". No clue if this is a deal.
How would this deal work if activating for 4 lines? Thinking of bringing our $100 family plan from VZW prepaid over. 4 lines on unlimited standard is the same price point.

I believe you only get this promotion only one time per new plan. A family plan is considered 1 plan. So, the 3 other lines will not get on the pixel 9 pro deal. However, you could get the Pixel 9/9a deal for them, which has been around for a while.
The terms says "Activate the device on a new full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify) within 30 days of the shipment confirmation." So, I'm doubtful if adding lines counts as "new" plan.
UPDATE: I just chatted with customer service, they said this deal also works when adding new customer accounts to family plans. So, this may work out that all lines can get new Pixel 9 pros.

Is this only for the essentials plan or all plans? I'm reading the terms and it doesn't seem to list a specific plan.
Also this is a free pixel pro 9 for each line correct? If opening up 2 lines, I can get two phones free if I stay with them for 24 months?
all plans if i understand it correctly, since it doesn't list a specific plan. i think if you 'see' that promo throughout while signing up for it (maybe take screenshots along the way?) then it should be fine. they are usually one promo per new line so you are correct. someone else said a family of 4 lines is considered one and that's not true. if you stay the 24 months, you'll end up getting everything back. if you leave after 12 months, then you would've recovered 1/2 of that promo amount.

There are two versions of the Pixel Watch: the 41mm for $449 and the 45mm for $499. I'm confused about the cost difference if I choose the 45mm model. Will I still receive $349 in credits if I opt for the 45mm version? Will I only have to pay $50 more? Someone please clarify!
Here's the email I received:
"Getting your Pixel Watch on us
When your phone ships, we'll email you a promotion code to get a Pixel Watch 3 (41mm) for free from the Fi Shop. You'll receive $100 off instantly and the remaining $349 will be refunded through 24 monthly credits. If you choose the Pixel Watch 3 (45mm), you'll be responsible for covering any cost difference."

Also - my wife has Google Fi on a separate account. I'm seeing this deal when choosing to add her to my account. Will it work even though she's an existing customer?
They know when google accounts have been associated with Fi - thus this would not work

Data is OK, but, even though Fi should be a higher tier of priority, I swear I had better coverage using US Mobile's T-Mobile network
