Here's everything you need to know about Google Fi's Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 deal, whether you're paying upfront or financing. I also include credit pull details and monthly costs so you can decide if it's right for you.

Google Fi Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 Promo – Full Breakdown (With and Without Financing)

---

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Pixel 9 Pro

$300 off instantly

Remaining $699 credited back over 24 months

Pixel Watch 3

$100 off via promo code (after phone ships)

Remaining $349 credited back over 24 months

Total Monthly Credits:
$29.12 (Pixel 9 Pro) + $14.54 (Watch 3) = $43.66/month

---

GOOGLE FI PLAN:

Unlimited Essentials Plan: $35/month

You must keep the line active and in good standing for 24 months to get all credits

---

OPTION A – PAY UPFRONT (NO HARD CREDIT PULL)

At Checkout:

Pay $699 for Pixel 9 Pro (after $300 discount)

Pay $349 for Pixel Watch 3 (after $100 discount)

Pay sales tax upfront on both

No financing, so NO hard credit check

Each Month (for 24 months):

Plan: $35

Credit: $43.66

Result: Your plan is fully covered and you get ~$8.66 extra per month, which can be used toward taxes or other fees (but doesn't roll over or get refunded)

Best for: People avoiding a credit check and okay paying upfront

---

OPTION B – FINANCE THE DEVICES (HARD CREDIT PULL REQUIRED)

At Checkout:

Pay $0 for the devices (except taxes)

Finance Pixel 9 Pro ($29.12/mo)

Finance Pixel Watch 3 ($14.54/mo)

This triggers a HARD credit pull

Each Month (for 24 months):

Plan: $35

Devices: $43.66

Credit: $43.66

Result: You still just pay $35/month total — credits cancel out the device payments

Best for: People who prefer monthly payments and don't mind a hard inquiry

---

AFTER 24 MONTHS:

You own both devices

Bill credits stop

You continue paying for the Google Fi plan ($35/mo unless changed)

Any leftover credit in a month does not carry over or get refunded

---

TL;DR:

You can avoid a hard credit pull only if you pay for BOTH the phone and watch upfront

You'll still get $43.66/month in credits, which more than covers the $35/mo plan

Any extra credit each month can only be used that month, no rollovers or payouts

Financing either device = hard pull

Just curious, if you take advantage of both the phone and watch offers, the up front cost (after discounts) is $1050 ($700 for the 9 Pro phone + $350 for the Pixel Watch) . ($1050 / 24 months) = $43.75. If the plan is $35 a month, are they sending you a check for $8.35 each month? I suspect hidden fees and taxes consume the remaining $8.35, but I can't imagine you would be paying much after credits. So you would be paying for the phone and watch and basically getting service for 2 years for "free". No clue if this is a deal.

So is the phone and plan free for two years?
People, stop saying FREE. Try to understand that you are paying close to $45 per month. Half of this amount is for the line and the other half is for the devices. Nothing's free! You are paying less for the devices though, and over the course of time!

So if we opt for a one step higher plan then it almost cancel out the credit if we opt to pay all in advance and we have to pay remaning $2-$3 more every month correct?

Is it possible to sign up for the Flexible plan and use a second SIM card for data from another carrier? Would this invalidate the deal?

Doesn't Fi and Mint both use T-Mobile? 😂
They're not the same - Google Fi has postpaid priority. Mint is deprioritized along with all the other TMo MVNOs.

Mint is fine until you're downtown on a weekend, or you're at a football game and trying to use data, or just in an area without a lot of towers.

Thank you but after it can be switched?
The terms of the offer say:
"You must keep the device active for 120 days. After that, you can choose to move your Fi account to a different device and still continue to receive the promotional credit as long as your Fi account is kept active for the duration of the 24 month promotional term."

Yes, I've always used free phone plans (Freedompop etc) and now Tello $6 per month prepaid plan (data only with Google Voice - no tax!) for the last decade, so spending $35 per month plus $7 tax & fees every month doesn't make sense to me.
And you got a $900 phone and a $450 watch with those plans right?

Why do you all keep making these pointless comments?

It is free, though. Especially if you are already paying $35/mo, like I am on AT&T. Sure, you could say there is opportunity cost savings if you were to move to a $15/mo plan like mint mobile. In that case, you'd save $480 over two years compared to the Fi plan, but you're not buying a pixel 9 pro and a pixel watch 3 for anywhere close to $480. Once the two years are up, I'll shop around for a cheaper plan for the remainder of life on the pixel 9 pro. I'll likely sell the watch, so if I get $250 for it, the phone ends up costing me only $230 in opportunity cost.

You need to keep the Fi plan active for 24 months in order to keep receiving the bill credits. I don't think there's a way to port out the number without canceling service, and if there is, I wouldn't trust their customer service to do it correctly.

If you get the base 9 Pro and Watch 3 and finance them, then they ARE free, the cost is reimbursed over 24 months. The only thing you are paying with is your time and opportunity (by being locked to Fi for 24 months)

$35/mo is pretty good right now for an MVNO unlimited plan with postpaid priority, an included watch line, and a shared data plan for another device. That might change over the next 24 months, but that's the gamble you'd take in exchange for not having to pay for the 9 Pro and watch.

Might want to check some previous Fi threads to see if anyone else has done it. I personally would be afraid to try it, given how terrible their customer service is. If it messes up the promo, you'll have a really hard time getting it fixed.

How about if I just activate the service on another phone (not the Pixel 9 pro), and then in 120 days, activate the Pixel 9 pro on my desired carrier. But I'll still keep the Google Fi plan for 24 months on a spare phone. Or does the deal require that the Google Fi plan go to the Pixel pro?

I am currently with T-mobile and want to get this deal for my wife and I. So 2 phones. It I read the terms correctly, this would require 2 separate plans. Can I combine them later without losing the phone credits? Or can I create a new account for me and invite my wife?

I don't think you need 2 separate plans. They go by # of lines. Each new line is a new user so if you sign up 2 people/line, you can get the promo on both. Even if you are an existing user, you can add a new line and get promo on that.

They have a referral system. Friend gets $60 and you get $60. It's independent of any promo. The $60 credit comes after staying active for 30 days and paying first bill.
