For RPG's I follow 3 websites. They gave the following scores.

RPG Gamer 5/5
RPGFan 99/100
RPG Site 10/10

Other gaming sites are high as well.
The newly re-formed Game Informer 9/10
Games Radar 4.5/5
Game Rant 10/10
IGN 9/10
Destructoid 9.5/10

It is getting rare to see some of these outlets agree on such a high score. Especially when the game is a throwback Turn Based JRPG. I believe the team said their desire to make an RPG was driven by playing Final Fantasy X when they where younger.
Fyi, it is coming to game pass.
It is coming to game pass but the game is $50 and made by a first time studio of under 30 people. Microsoft also kind of did them dirty by shadow dropping Oblivion Remaster and putting it on Game Pass two days before this release. Because of those reasons I am trying to do my part to help this game not get overlooked. Especially considering them being so awesome about the price considering what is happening in the gaming community right now.

Most stores won't allow returns of video games even if they aren't open. Plus you should be supporting the game not trying to get a $10 e-gift card. Best Buy gives out random $5 or more Rewards certificates to active free accounts multiple times a year.

Been waiting for this one. Looks awesome! FF Rebirth didn't cut it for me.

Not really my intention to gimp the credit... I won't have a chance to play it for another month and didn't want to miss a better deal between now and then.

My bad. If you have a PC the deal on Green Man Gaming for it digital for $36 is unlikely to be matched anytime soon. Especially on a game launching with a cheaper price.

I wasn't sold on the game until this morning. When I saw the $10 e-gift card it made it a no brainer for me. I haven't pre-ordered or bought a game day one in a long time. Games like this are rare and the dev team is under 30 people. Want to buy this game not just to play and enjoy it but to support a team that made an incredible game and is giving it to us for a super fair price on top of it. Going to support this all day long over a $80 Mario Kart World. But to each their own if you feel otherwise.

$50 is the normal price; not $60. There is a $70 "Lumiere Edition." At least you're getting a $10 giftcard with this, though.

The Lumiere Edition I believe was exclusive to Gamestop. It has been sold out I believe for a while now. I rarely buy at Gamestop because they open all the product and then send it and still call it new. Doesn't work well for collecting especially.

If you want it cheaper you can get it on PC and use one of the options I posted on the first page or the GMG link in my original post. It is $36 at GMG for the digital PC version.

This game looks great, but I just think it's funny and kinda sad (for me) when they say they played FFX "when they were younger" ... I played FF1 when I was younger. Lol. *cries*
I remember getting FF1 used from Zappers when I was a kid. Dozens may know what I'm talking about!

I bought all my Final Fantasy games before VII used at a local computer shop that carried used pc and console games. Back when PC games came in giant boxes with giant manuals and spin wheels and what not used as a form of copy protection.

On green man gaming. I have it in my cart right now for 36 dollars. I didn't pull the trigger yet. But it's a special prepurchase offer. It's redeemable through steam

I always get the impression that Microsoft hates anything Japanese. Will never forgive them for killing Scalebound and almost killing the company that made Hifi Rush

Sandfall Interactive believe it or not was actually started by ex Ubisoft Developers. Shows how Ubi has squandered talent in the past. Ubisoft in 2024 had something like 19,000 employees. Sandfall consists of less then 30. Sandfall is based out of Montpellier, France.

It's worth every penny.. there isn't a better value in gaming history then Game Pass Ultimate at this time. worship Microsoft is killing it right now. I don't see the reason to buy this for steam at full price when they get 2 months or more of Game Pass Ultimate and have access to all those titles. shake head
