The N100 is able to handle transcoding more than 2 1080P streams without much trouble.

But if you're talking locally, you don't even need transcoding these days.

I was able to direct stream 4K to 4 different devices on a Raspberry Pi 4B.

The only limitations at that point are storage speed and bandwidth.

So, if I want to use this as a simple house PC that has office on it, internet, etc will it do that just fine? No streaming, no games other than solitaire. Looking for something for my father that's easy.

Pretty good option. There's probably slightly better long term but this is a damn good deal for the money. If I could think of a reason to need it I'd have already bought one.

Depending on how elaborate your HA setup is, you might be able to get away with an Orange Pi Zero for around $20.

If you do end up going with an N100 system, I highly recommend installing Proxmox and running HA in a VM. That way, you can get a lot more out of the system than just running HA on bare metal.
This might have less power consumption than a rpi5.

No where in the add does it say it comes with Windows 11. Yet when I asked the question at Amazon it claimed it came pre installed. I'm not sure if it does or not. Seems they would say it clearly in the description.
