Absolutely. Fantastic story line. Your typical expectation of planes, tanks, and boots on ground. But similar to BF1 where you're playing separate stories from different resistance/militia/militaries. There's even one fun mission with skiing. Definitely worth $2.50. I buy all of my friends the older BF games when they go on sale. They're much more likely to try it out and discover how great BF1 and BF5 truly are. Had a buddy recently who I watched the FURY movie with, and had coincidentally gifted BFV and it became his main game for 2 months straight. He was playing more frequently then too. Definitely top 10 games of all time to me.

Great deal on a great game, however I would always recommend purchasing on Steam. You never know when one day you'll want to play on a Steam Deck or PC running something other than Windows.

They managed to piss off a lot of their fanbase, myself included with the last two games that they put out. There was a noticeable drop-off in gameplay quality, random glitches, and a lot of people didn't like that they introduced a female combatant because it felt like pandering more-so than an actual effort at inclusivity. The maps were terrible, there were too many fragmented game modes, they also didn't include some of the most widely used weapons from the war....I could keep going.

Two things:

1. This game isn't $2.50 on steam, it's $50.
2. This game isn't playable on Steamdeck or any other OS besides Windows.

This might have been the Woke battlefield that no one wanted to play.

Yes, it was fun. The only problem was the cut scene videos would skip a lot making them hard to follow and even harder to enjoy. I have a very high-end system and actual gameplay was smooth as butter. I have an RTX 4090, i9-14900K 64GB of RAM and the game is running off a Samsung 980 pro NVMe. I tried numerous revisions of NVIDIA drivers with no luck over the 2-4 months I played it.

I also played battlefield one and battlefield 4. Battlefield one was the best game of the three games for single player in my opinion.

For $2.50 no question. Not as good as BF1, but not bad.

(1) It most definitely does go on sale on Steam for around this price. I'm letting people know in case they want to just buy it there instead. (2) You're right the anti-cheat doesn't support Linux anymore but that doesn't mean that one day it won't support it again. You'll more likely never see Windows Store products for download on Linux, which is why I made the recommendation.

Although I do like the game overall, the fake skewed demographics did put a sour taste in my mouth. 2042 was completely idiotic how you HAD to play as the women operators to get the good abilities. Weird to try to force your paying customers to follow your political beliefs, even if they're completely inaccurate to the historical event you're making a realistic game after

I def agree that Windows Store purchases are locked to Windows platform, and yea, if I'm looking at buying a PC title, Steam is better than the Windows Store for non-Windows device compatibility.

That was my problem as well. I get that it's a game and it's make believe inherently but Battlefield was always touted as the more "historically or real life accurate" game between it and Call of Duty, then they swung the pendulum the other way and that's when I stopped buying.
