This is a pretty good alternative with a very reputable authorized dealer with good CS & retains original manufacturers warranty.

If you want/will be dependent on internal power & dual sub outs, this is a plus over the RZ50.
Not to mention it also includes Dirac Live Full Bandwidth & Dirac Live Bass Control purchase option.

Maybe better than the rz50 which was more of a dehydrated deal. Not too good with music so I finally sold it.

What do you mean dehydrated deal? Why do you think RZ70 would be better with music? Rz70 has more power but curious why you think Rz70 is superior in audio ? I have not owned either so will help to understand. Thx

From someone that has experience with both, blaming it on the AVR isn't really fair.
In general is this better sonically with two channel music, sure.
Is it $1k better, not at all imo.
If power was a a top issue, use the pre outs.
If you didn't need 10 & 11 I would suggest looking at the new RZ30 for $750.
