Tried the first go pro 360 that my cousin bought many years ago and didn't like, I know changed a lot.

Does someone bought or have to record their toddlers? It's worth it? Thanks

That's my primary use too. And for travel. Wondering the same

360-Cam is really for post re-framing - that's why they are popular for action sports so you don't have to worry about aiming the camera while performing. If you are able to even somewhat point in the general direction of the subject matter, an action cam (Insta360 Ace or DJI Action) would have better image quality, be cheaper, lighter, and easier to use vs a 360-Cam. Even better would be a dedicated gimbal camera like the DJI Pocket 3 which will have WAAAAAY better image quality.

It is cool that it's out but it's also a little wild that they are releasing it so early at Costco. Last year Costco didn't get them until I think August. It must have been a shipment issue and overstock issue.

I might upgrade my X4. I use it a fair amount. Mostly with skating.

I wouldn't be surprised if lots of companies are stocking inventory before tariffs.

Be careful with the software. The camera is Chinese mate. Insta360 is a Chinese company that reports to the Chinese Communist party. By installing the software for this camera, you will have an agent on your computer that is reporting straight into China. If you don't believe me, start sniffing Network traffic.
I'm a big sniffer, I'm sold

remember when China's products were cheap and bootlegged? now they have the best stuff according to this guy

tell me why I should support inferior american products? because my data is safer being collected by the American government instead? give me a break

Have there been any rumors about when the Osmo360 may be released? I definitely want to look at that one before buying this one, but I also have a trip planned for late June so want to make sure I get something by then.

Same! I bought it for $399.99 at Costco on March 31 when it had a one week sale. Hoping it drops below that so I can price match!

In America, there are privacy laws and boatloads of lawyers waiting to file lawsuits.
When your data is collected by the Chinese government and used it illegally, you can't sue them.

Yes yes, the impenetrable American justice system, where justice is served with every helping of fries. Nothing ever goes wrong here

gonna give you a harsh reality check: no one on this website cares. America is capitalism, and capitalism is America. we must buy, at all times, every time. they will sell us garbage, and we will buy. bombs being dropped on kids? who cares, new iPhone is out.

everything is made in china, the world is burning up in flames, we live in an unsustainable economic creation of our ancestors and anyone who stands up to say something will be ignored and labeled as crazy because social media and conglomerate news has trained every single person on what they should care about because no one reads anymore.

so if the whole china thing is the hill you wanna die on, go for it. there's plenty of hills for all of us. and they're all empty.

I'm going to end this with one thing: if you upload your image to an AI software to generate images, they now own your face and can use it for whatever they please, and no lawyer will defend you on that.
