This is the Sega 2010 version. I think I played this a little on 360. I have fond memories of AvP and AvP 2 back on PC circa 2000. But I'm sure those have aged like milk, the engine is so old.

LOL, not the same game. I had the Jaguar version and it looked nothing like this...probably because it was released in 1994, not 2010

Same concept-ish though.

It couldn't be Colonial Marines, since he mentioned playing missions as a Marine, Predator and Alien. The '99 game had separate campaigns, just like this one. Colonial Marines didn't.
Correct, I was talking about the '99 game, back when we used WIndows 98 OS! It was so tough, toughest game I ever played. It was missions, and there were no saves within missions. I saw the graphics on here and yes, it's definitely not the one I played lol. The 99' one was also very good, just super tough and I couldn't get very far. This is coming from a gamer too who was generally better at most ppl at games, especially FPSes. The first predator mission, I think I got about 40 mins in, furthest I got. There's a situation in which the area is under self-destruction so you have to leave and it just floods with Aliens, never made it out... I don't know how many times I tried either. I guess it's realistic in the difficulty sense, the Alien Xenomorphs are tough like shit... You basically die really easily and they swarm you like nuts. Facehuggers will kill you once they attach to your face out of nowhere. It was really fun at the time, ways to attack were really different for that era, with Alien and Predator fighting styles.

I've had this on PC for a long time. However, the one time I tried to get it running over the past year was not successful.

Marine missions were cool but I personally didn't like the Alien or Predator campaigns. Neat concept though, playing through the same maps (on the same timeline) but with different abilities, mission structure, access to different areas, etc. In theory I think you are supposed to be the antagonist and protagonist in the story...could be wrong. Also, I think all the DLC maps are useless these days as they are multiplayer only and MP is dead. Plays great on the Steam Deck. *FOV is really weird / narrow (probably sub 60 deg) and doesn't seem to be an way to change it even with editing game files.
There is a FOV fix, not permanent .ini tweak but an injector, been running this at FOV 90 without issue.

Thanks for the info! I ended up just dealing with the FPS but that is good to know if I decide to try the Alien or Predator campaigns again. (The alien one wasn't bad but I kept not being able to find objectives or exits....I just didn't like the mechanics of the predator class).
