I'm gonna be rebuilding a deck here soon. Wonder if I should snap this up or invest in a dewalt battery powered one. I'm already all-in on dewalts batterys and tools, but I do have a nice air compressor that could run this. The battery powered nailers are eye popping on the price tag. But I've hauled around a nailer with a hose attached to it and it sure is a pita. I just don't do enough work with a nailer to justify a $300 nail gun...

EDIT: Derp this is a finish Nailer.... looks like amazon has had this historically for ~$100. Not too slick and not what i need

Is this good for building an outdoor wood fence? 15 gauge or 16 is better?

Consider a palm nailer since they're relatively cheap and can be used when nailing joist hangers

You'd want a full size nailer, not a finish nailer. This thing fires small nails for finish carpentry like trim

Very tempting since I love my other Metabo pheumatic nailers! I have the Ryobi 15 gauge nailer and it works amazing, so I'm not sure if its worth the upgrade.
