In my mind I thought the pulsar ran quieter but that wasn't necessarily always the case. I think the firman sound is a bit higher so I just hear it more. Both were running in eco mode.
First test was taken standing directly over the generators. Firman 71db pulsar 72db
Next test was from approximately 12ft away. Firman 60db pulsar 62db
Next test was standing above generator under 500w load. Firman 75db pulsar 76db
Next is 500w load from approximately 12 ft. Firman 66db pulsar 64.
Next is 750w load above generator. Firman 79db pulsar 78db
Last test is 750w load from approximately 12ft away. Firman 68db pulsar 66.5db.
So again. Can't verify the accuracy of this test.But that's what my numbers looked like.

Not to mention the predator is literally twice as much. If I was going to spend that much more.I would probably go with a dual fuel champion

I have a Westinghouse WGen11500TFc to power my whole house (using natural gas) with an interlock on my panel. I have a Smarter Tools AP2000i 2000 watt inverter generator that I have had for a few years, but is gas only (and would not start last time I needed it due to a gummed up carb that ended up needing replacement). Was looking into getting it converted to propane (and maybe NG), but know it would be pretty low on power if I did. I went ahead and ordered this one to have as my new "backup" unit, and will keep the older 2000 watt unit as a loaner, or maybe just sell it for a few hundred.
I almost ordered 2 of these and a parallel kit, but decided I really don't need that (although I could buy 2, keep one, and sell the other one when a storm comes for a little profit).
I can stock up and be ready at a much cheaper price

also, HF doesnt offer duel fuel on many models, especially smaller ones.
