A36 vs Moto Edge 2024: Reasons to consider the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G
  • Shows 7% longer battery life (23:59 vs 22:25 hours)
  • Has 50% more RAM: 12GB versus 8GB
  • Newer Bluetooth version (v5.4)
  • The phone is 1 year newer
  • Delivers 21% higher peak brightness (1244 against 1032 nits)
  • More recent OS version: Android 15 versus 14
  • Supports higher wattage charging (45W versus 25W)
Bonus is the 6 years of support vs 2 years of the Moto.

The specs showing on the product page show:

Memory 6GB RAM | 128GB storage

Am I missing something? I'd love if this had 12 GB ram

That's the specs for the 256GB version. The 128GB version has half the memory (6GB). If it's like another one of their A series, the good version is only available unlocked and not through any carriers.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank forces

It will be total $95 if you add the cheapest plan which is $40 for the second month to have it unlock. Keep that in mind if that's your goal.

If multiple lines do you get discount? I already have one line for $55. I am placing a new line order and I still see $55 for the second line
This is my 4th line on the 5g+ and was $15 at checkout (not plan selection).

Ok, so I got this deal the last time it was posted. I had to do the ID verification which was annoying, but not too intrusive, but some ppl might not be as willing as I was (provide selfie and pics of DL). When the phone arrived and you go to the website to activate it gives you the option of porting a number or getting a new number which was a big win for me since I wanted to just pay for the service to get the phone and then use the phone with my existing service. Pretty sure it will unlock just fine in two month. Anyone else do this already and can confirm?
I did the port in last time and was going to do a Google number cause one post said it was only $3 but when I got to the website Google said $20 to port out. I picked new number instead and everything worked as it should. Google number still exists and its my backup phone with no issues

comparison to moto edge 2024:
cons
-slower max charging
-6gb 128gb compared to 8gb 256gb
-ip67 instead of ip68
-glass back is bad for durability
-195g instead of 174g
-no desktop mode
pros
-objectively better software once debloated and 6 years of software updates
-bluetooth 5.4 instead of 5.2

Edge has much better camera too, according to Phonearena.

I thought you just had to unlock the GV number, which I did last month or earlier this month for $3

You just have to click unlock on the Google Voice page cost is only $3. Seems likely to me you messed up the promotion because you clicked get a new number since this promotion was supposed to be for porting in number

I ported it in my Google Voice number to Total Wireless earlier this month for the a35. Those who want micro SD memory card may prefer the A35. Instead of additional free devices with discounted lines with more moto or Samsung lines,, I decided to get two razors and one iPhone 13 after my A35 from TW. Only four discount devices per account allowed

No, it didn't cont me anything additional. When I tried to port the number to unlock it Google voice said it was going to be $20 so I chose the new number and everything worked perfectly. No extra cost and phone unlocked after the initial month of service (at the 60 day mark).

New Verizon prepaid (+ subsidiaries like Total) unlock policy as of 4/1 is 60 days of paid service
