People can buy them as a cheap gift but these things are just vaporware. I've had my theragun for over 3 years and while it cost me about 5x the price I've paid for other similar devices, the thing has lasted me about 15x longer than these cheap things.

How powerful is this unit for massage? I need something that really punches the muscle. Some of these cheaper units though seem much more vibration oriented!

it depends on if they are deep tissue or not. the deep tissue ones will really punch, others will vibrate. This advertises it is deep tissue so I would expect it has a pop

Take or leave the advice of a licensed massage therapist.
A lot of people cram these guns into an area like they want to beat the tissue into shape.
My advice and training say
DON'T!
Apply the tool gently. You can even practice. Turn it off and get used to just barely touching the head of the gun to the skin.
Pressure over time. Take your time and use less pressure.
Don't hurt yourselves.
PSA ended.

If it lasts 1/15th of 3 years you can just return it.

I have one of those from an unknown Chinese brand. Won't get the sharper image ones because they don't charge via usbc.

My unknown brand one still works perfectly even two years later.

Used the theragun at a gym, feel. Like they use a different percussive motion.

If you really need a massage gun go volt, theragun, etc the premium devices. All others, especially under 100 are more of fast vibrators on a stick. They don't actually have a true range of motion with percussion that beats your body.

This exact thing happened with the one I bought from taoronics. The unit itself worked awesome with a very strong motor so if you are going to buy one I would suggest that brand, but as the user pointed out it just won't hold the charge anymore after a short period of time
Came here to say that I had the same experience. Mine lasted 9-10 months before it stopped charging and became a brick. Not sure about the warranty on this but mine only came with 30 days

How does it compared to Costco product "Sharper Image Power Percussion Compact Plus Portable Percussion Massager"
The price $16 is too good but if its useless then again we need to spend the same amount on costco

You can actually do it, copying the text. But it adds a few more steps to the process, and I wanted to make it super simple :-)
