the j7 is much better then the j5 in obstacle recognition , I believe the j5 cannot do this.. j7 is much better overall unless you need the mop feature

I needed something to do carpets without mopping so I bought this on eBay because of the warranty. I have another Roomba with the rubber rollers, like this one, and it works great on carpet but it can't be programmed by room like this one. I haven't seen any other robots work as well on carpet as my older Roomba and I have a Roborock and a Wyze. Agreed this seems to be a great price - lowest I've seen for this model. My other Roomba is going on 4 years and is built like a tank.
