Pretty solid deal. Check out Microcenter's bundle deal here for ASUS MB and 16gb DDR5 included for 300 total.

Hot deal for sure. I just built a system with this chip, paired it with a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE for the air cooler. NewEgg I think I paid $229 it came with the game code & 16GB of DDR5 RAM.

That RAM is for sale on eBay and I'll net maybe $40 from it so kind of a wash but great chip nonetheless!

I sold my code on eBay for $20 if you don't want the game you can get rid of it quickly!

what gpu are y'all pairing with this?

EDIT:
looks like there's an i5-13th gen on sale for $150. Thoughts on this vs that?

EDIT2:
looks like the 13th gen i5 for 150 is sold out.
13th-14th gen Intel is not a great long term investment, there's a flaw.

It's a good price but Microcenter bundles are way worse than they used to be. They pair mobos that don't sell well and crappy RAM (CL36). They used to allow you to customize the bundles much more but now they use it to offload subpar parts like NewEgg. YMMV on how much the individual store allows you to swap out different parts.
