Same price on Bloomingdale's (along with some other of the Breville espresso line), and my Amex had $20 off $100+, as well as +3 MR per dollar spent, at BD's. Popular cash back site had 15% CB at BD yesterday though it's back at 2% today, they might have 15% again this week as BD is listed as participating in their boosted CB event.

Mostly the same thing. Touch is based on an older platform (same as express) but they are still mostly the same. Biggest differences: touch screen (personally I prefer buttons as they are more responsive than the touch screen especially in potentially wet environment) and touch has panarello wand for "auto" milk frothing, pro has a "manual" wand which gives you a bit more control. Again, more of a matter or preference. To me, if I want more automated I'd just get a fully auto machine so I ended up with a pro.

I agree with your assessment. I have a pro for the last 3 years and it's definitely for those who want a manual experience.

If you're doing anything milk-based just get a Philips LatteGo instead. Seriously.

Beware, integrated grinder/espresso machine means if one of them fails, it takes the other with it to the dump. Also makes it impractical to upgrade your grinder (which many do once they catch the espresso bug).

This is the 'new' Touch with 3-second heating up time (Thermojet) like the Pro, and manual tamping (unlike the Touch Impress). The Pro is already a great coffee machine, and very reliable (I've had it for 2 years now).
I had the previous Touch Impress (that I hated due to the long startup time), the biggest difference is the automatic milk frothing that lets you set it and (almost) forget it - will make the specific froth for cappuccino, latte, flat white with no skill required (apart from latte art if you're so inclined).
These machines are much better than most full autos at this price point at making espresso and milk-based coffee drinks, also the milk part is significantly easier to clean - it's just the stainless steel jug and the wand, vs an intricate milk carafe that may or may not be dishwasher safe.
TL;DR: It's better, but it won't make better espresso.

The two are independent in these Breville machines. Granted, you wouldn't want to keep this thing just for the grinder if the rest of the machine fails - but you can grind your own beans separately or (heavens!) use pre-ground.
