Walked into Lowe's tonight to try to get this deal in person. No signage at all talking about the free 2.5ah battery promotion so I was a bit skeptical.

Nonetheless, got a worker to open the cabinet and get the extra battery out and went to self checkout. Sure enough, the battery rang up with the free promo.

Receipt showed $213.07 for the blower and $115.93 for the battery. I haven't tried to return the battery but might tomorrow. Not sure yet if I'll keep it.

Just FYI, 2ah battery is nearly useless for most tools. Most mowers will overload when starting the blade, blowers won't be able to use it more than a couple mins and not turbo, I've used it for clearing the garage before when I don't want turbo & will be super quick. I have one 2.5ah I use nearly exclusively in my fan or light, lasts a while for those but even then I haven't used them much on high power. For $115+tax I'd return it, unless you have a unique use case light a light, fan, or think you'lll be using the blower in very short low power bursts like I do.
Politely disagree. I use the 2.5 AH all the time, when I'm blowing off the driveway, cleaning gutters, weed eating around the house, cutting limbs with my pole saw, or any real light work with my chainsaw. The only time I need my larger batteries are when I'm mowing, blowing in the yard, or bucking/milling/felling with my chainsaw.

You need 2 batteries to move dry leaves on pavement you need to put it on turbo battery lasts about 10 minutes on turbo then takes thirty minutes to charge you can buy copies for $70 on amazon
completely false in my experience, the 2.5 AH is completely adequate for clearing a normal sized driveway covered in leaves.
If you have a 300' long driveway that's different.

I stand corrected, maybe there's a bit more use than I previously thought but that's my personal experience...
I can see it being good for pole saw/light chainsaw use (which I don't have). What blower do you have? I've got the 670 (675?) and it seems to die very quickly if trying to use full power (w/o turbo) and that's a similar amp draw as this 765 listed here, but the 530-ish CFM are prob much lower current draw. Whenever I'm weedeating/edging it's usually 30-50 minutes so the 2.5ah doesn't last close to that for me, works ok if my other batteries are dead and have a small portion left and/or see that I missed a spot.

FYI: This model is rated 2nd highest in the battery-powered leaf blower category, so it should be good. Top rated according to them is Cat DG651.

Are we saying that the price that shows online, at local stores, is not what will be charged? I checked a few area stores, and they all come up as $329 with 5Ah (no mention of additional battery)..?

My 7.5 Ah battery that came with my self propelled mower in 2019 is still working. I would guess it has lost about 15% of its capacity.

If your battery dies after 2 years, I hope you contacted them for a warranty replacement.

Not bad but the greenworks 80v 800cfm 2.5ah battery blower set at costco for $199 is better.

Check Project Farm and Kite Army reviews on YouTube. They have tested several blowers, and the Egos have typically been the best.
