Lifetime warranty for Fiskars means you get to argue with them a bunch before they finally say to ship back to them AT YOUR EXPENSE for a repair or replacement.

As for the OP tool, read the reviews on multiple places the past year or 2. Cheapened the tool quite a bit and many parts of this break easily.

Better off with a Corona brand for a little more.
We broke a forged garden fork that had a defect in the metal. Took a picture, sent it to them. They shipped a new one in a couple of days.

My Fiskars lopper cracked near the cutting jaws after a lot of use on branches that would barely fit into the cutting jaws and using my body weight to exert maximal pressure. I just sent a photo and soon received a new lopper.

I just use a $10 metal file on my pruners and it seems works fine. I also use it to keep my lawnmower blade sharp-ish between mows.
I use 120 and 220 grit sandpaper on a handle to sharpen. Works great!

Some people just buy new identical item and return broken one to the seller (official distributor) if the manufacturer make the warranty process a hassle, just saying…
