Deal Details
The 5W Creality Falcon laser engraver is available for $134.99 with free shipping when using the code "CFFAM" at checkout.
Regular price is listed at $299.
A free pack of 40 sheets of gold and silver self-adhesive glitter paper is included automatically in the shopping cart.

This is an entry-level laser engraver and cutter that is mainly intended for users who want to start with a lower-cost machine, but it can also engrave common materials like wood, leather, and non-transparent acrylic like higher power machines. The advantage over 20W or 40W engravers is that the laser spot is finer (0.06mm x 0.06mm), allowing for higher detail on engravings.
It is also capable of cutting thinner materials like plywood, cardboard, and various types of paper.

Technical Specs:
  • Optical Power: 5W Diode Laser
  • Laser Wavelength: 455±5nm
  • Engraving Area: 15.7 x 16.3 inches (400 x 415mm)
  • Laser Spot Size: 0.06mm x 0.06mm
  • Max Engraving Speed: 10,000mm/min
  • Material Compatibility: Wood, leather, bamboo, fabric, acrylic (non-transparent), plastic, cardboard, paper, rubber

  • Focus System: Manual focus
  • Software Support: LightBurn, LaserGRBL, Falcon Design Studio
  • Supported File Formats: JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP, SVG, DXF

Neither will work very well for glass. You'll need a CO2 laser for that.

What you can do, however, is mask the glass using vinyl, burn away the parts that you want to etch, and then use an etchant solution.

But you'll also want a rotary attachment if you're doing rounded surfaces.

Also, the laser modules on these are completely interchangeable for higher wattage units. If it weren't for the tariffs, I'd say start with the 5W and buy a more powerful unit from AliExp later on.

Look for the ones with the new square dot prismatic lenses if you want the latest tech.

Unsure what the exact details were previously, but I just bought this now and the total came out to $121.57 shipped, with the addition of code: WELCOME5 alongside the featured code: CFFAM.

Also it included a free Mother's Day Gift set, auto added to cart.

I only have the 10W, but I have found some posts in FB laser engraving groups where other users have successfully engraved glass with the 5W. But you need the special engraving foil to engrave on glass.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEymQ6TNgqg (yes (I know 10watt probably 5watt too) does engrave glass but you need to paint the glass and then remove the paint afterwards tempura paint comes off with water. I've actually done it. I think it needs to be either white or black paint check the video) If you permanently paint the glass somehow the laser can then remove some of it intricately too if your not into engraving it.

I would say 10 watt. But 5 watt has a smaller laser point and will give better detail. But better to the naked eye I'm not so sure. 10 watt because maybe you want to cut thin wood art boards or just do things on a lower percentage of power to not overuse the laser. Or do the same thing as a 5 watt but faster. Either choice isn't a bad choice but there is a reason 10 watt is known as the best value laser.
