This is getting into territory where you wouldn't be furious if you found a flaw. My experience with ALL tents no matter the quality is that they experience high stresses every time you use the. Leading to an eventual badly stictched thread or weak point in the wall. This would eliminate the holes you experience from walking around in it, but the rest will still apply. I guess what I'm saying is I'm skeptical this lasts much longer than a midrange tent.

Np! Don't snooze cause promo ends tonight! I do hear the generic hard shell tents on Amazon for similar price perform better but I got this instead because it's a deal haha. Don't forget rei membership for extended return policy

If you wait a bit longer, it will go down even further. Just track the price. I was able to get the Yakima Skyrise 2 (Red) which looks similar to this, for $560 a couple of years ago.

I have wanted something like this for years ... but feel compelled to admit that $1000 (let alone $1899) would pay for a fair number of nights at a hotel/AirBnB.

This is a stupid and impracticale concept, hence how you can find these for free in market place. Save yourself a headache and $1000 by buying a ground tent.

Don't get me wrong. I love high discounts. It's just when people talk about car camping, I didn't think it's on top of it😅 150 lbs gear + 500 lbs 3 people, I don't think I can sleep in it

Vehicle-top tents are an incredibly impractical idea and potentially dangerous. Let's take a vehicle and make it where it can't be used to go anywhere quickly, in an emergency or otherwise. Just what you want while out in an austere environment!
