The 83" B4 is essentially a reskinned 83" C4. It has all the same internal components, same processor, etc. The only difference is the B4 does not have the brightness enhancer so the C4 is a bit brighter, however for some reason in game mode the B4 is just as bright.

This only applies to the 83" B4, not the smaller sizes.

thanks for this info, is there somewhere i could read up on the specifics before pulling the trigger? do you think the C4 83 will drop under 2600?

Differences Between Sizes And Variants
The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall.

I am not sure if any review sites have done an in depth analysis on the 83" B4 though, so not much more to read up on, sorry.

Also noticed the one on LG store (OLED83B4PUA) has Wi-Fi 5 instead of Wi-Fi 6 at Costco (OLED83B4AUA), Not sure how much of a difference that makes.

I have this set. Brightness is very similar to my 77C3, I'd say on par, which makes sense as the C3 is about 10 percent dimmer than the C4. Even in a bright room, this TV does well. Like others have said, essentially a C4 spec wise. Excellent value for the money
