Edit: I was looking at the first/primary link, didn't see the other ones initially. There is a dedicated link cable with 3.0
First one says it's good for vr headsets but then says USB 2.0 below it.
I've been using USB C cables since the spec was released and never, not once, have I had a cable go bad there from bending. 100% of cable failures I've had are at the metal connector getting bent from bending up or down while in use charging.
It's such a cop out "feature" to put on a product listing that probably fools a lot of people into buying cables that snap at the connector as much or more than any other cheap cable.

The benefit is Type-C often can do a partial connection where the first part of the connector makes contact, but the interior pins haven't.
As a result the cable feels secure and connected, when it actually is neither.
That said, never had a cable with lights so no idea if they light up from the power source side or need end-to-end connection to light up.
No easy answer there. But the light is a solution.
But you probably knew that already.
