I've owned this headset for quite a few years now. After the first year or two the volume knob broke.(If you touch it, it will raise up or down to max) Around the 4th year mark I had to replace the headset foam and earpieces because they started flaking. Besides that and icue that isn't necessary unless you want to update those are the negatives.
Sound quality is amazing. Worked on my ps4, ps5, and PC. USB C. Detachable mic. Mute on mic. A very clean looking and functioning headset. The only thing that's missing is Bluetooth functionality.
I'd say at full price I've gotten my moneys worth and for this price it's a steal. I'd buy it again but no need.

I refuse to buy the leather/rubber type ear cups. My headsets became flaky. I had the original Beats headset. I rarely use it. I went to grab it from the case it came with. The cups went flaky and the rubber piece that sits on your head got sticky. Apparently, it needs human oil to make it last longer. Wasted my dad's $300.
If you have a slightly bigger head, don't bother with these. The clamping force will mess with your ears and head. Tried a friend's since they liked it so much and after 10 or so minutes my head was sweating and pounding. My ears felt like they were on fire. The sound was fine. It looks good, that's about the only thing it has going for it.
i have this. i'm not a fan of the sound and you have to play around with eq settings to get it to sound normal. i'm going through the flaking right now and i always have little bits of the fake leather stuck to my head whenever i use (about 4 years old). that being said, the fit/comfort/weight, mic and aesthetics are good.
one other thing is you can't tell when it's fully charged which is kind of annoying. you kind of just ballpark it when it's flashing green i suppose (versus red/yellow).
i wouldn't buy again, but for $99 it's pretty good value.

Which non-leather/rubber-type earcup headset would you recommend?

I was using Corsair VOID RGB Elite. After a few years, the battery stopped charging so I then been using USB wired connected to the PC.
Now, I'm currently using SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X. Both are very comfortable.
