Get the other DLC050 on sale now for $35 if you want a flood light, that is way brighter and better for working in dark areas.
Only get this DLC040 if you need a handheld flashlight type spot that isn't very bright (like their DCL043 SPOTlight).
Yeah, that's why I called it a flash light. 😁
I do find if I want some surround light with this, all you need to do it point it up to the ceiling for plenty of bounce.
For me, it's mostly used for point of work lighting, which us a huge help having list 70% sight in 1 eye, and need spot btightness to help me see clearly.

May I ask where DCL050 is on sale for $35? Thanks!
You should set up a shortcut to dewalt results, so you can get in on these deals that don't last very long. I check this link a few times per day, ever since I Missed the TWO powerstack batteries for $55 deal last month. (still kicking myself about missing that one)

This is the 2nd or 3rd time woot has sold this DCL050 for this price. I grabbed one a few months back as well. SO keep an eye out for the woot sales, they go quickly! But I liked this flood light so much I bought a 2nd one (I rarely duplicate tools)
