Does anyone actually use a manual hack saw these days?
For things like cutting off bolts I've used the smaller hack saws because they can get into tight spots against a floor... I occasionally will need to notch a metal something and I want the control of a manual hack saw... *shrug* to a man with a hammer...

Yeah I still have 2 of them. Used one about 6 years ago on a bike build to cut them steering tube to correct length. At that time I did not have my one hand saw zall.

I can see why you would think that there is no use for manual hack saws anymore. I just used mine while installing drain pipes under kitchen sink. The new plastic drain pipes sold at big box stores are so comically thin and flimsy they may not stand up to a power saw. If they didn't crack when using the power saw I'm sure the cuts would have been really jagged. I also use it for cutting through small bolts.

I actually use a cheap twist around tubing cutter for that type of stuff.
