Different use cases, the OP is more for construction where you'll actually go through the ph2 bits as a consumable on a regular basis but you still have the remaining torx, square drive, and sockets.

The one you posted is more for the DIYer, it's the one I have but I paid less and got an extra set to go with via a mail in rebate.

Obviously either can be used by either type of user but a DIYer is unlikely to go through 30 some odd ph2 bits in a lifetime much less the 10 or whatever is in the set you linked.

Based on the bit count sure. But the 3/8 and 1/2 add quite a bit of value and personally I need them a lot more often than obscure torx bits (which can live in the truck).

As a diy'er what do you look out for when the bit is trashed? I've only ruined some torq bits but genuinely curious

Good points. I was looking for torx. As a DIY I have very few and missing torx. So the torx set works for me.

Bounces in and out of the screw head and rounds out the Philip head. Cursing is also sure sign
