Yep! My old 13 Pro Max's camera got obliterated by the vibration from mine. Granted it also falling off the mount (used to have a crappy RAM XGRIP mount) during a ride did not help either. I eventually sent it back to apple for a replacement with Apple Care.

I have an XGRIP mount on my motorcycle that I'm not too fond of. What did you end up using as a replacement?

I'm not sure it's the solution you're looking for (granted, you have to use their case or adhesive-attached mounting option), but I've been using the QuadLock Case/System for a while now. I only use it for cycling, and it's probably overkill for that purpose, but there was a lot of discussion around the camera being damaged due to vibration a couple years, so quadlock introduced vibration dampener attachment. I was already pretty much invested in the ecosystem so I picked up the dampener just in case. No issues with any of my phones so far but like I said, it might be overkill for my use, so YMMV.

Thanks for the warning. I've been certain that one of my previous phone's cameras was messed up by a phone mount on a bicycle. The manual zoom got messed up but I'm guessing the image stabilization can as well.

OIS on my 11 pro failed (image shakes everywhere even when phone is still) and I used the quad lock mount on my bike. I would have definitely gotten the vibration dampener. I mostly commute by bike so it wasn't even much of a stress test. No idea how this product compares but vibration is a valid concern on bike and motorcycle.

I use the Nite Ize handle bands that are silicon. Have had phones fall off different clamp type mounts so I would end up using cheaper backup phones for rides.

The Nite Ize band does block some of the screen since the silicon band wraps over the phone to secure it so it limits the use a bit but I feel safer with it.

Other friends have used the click lock type phone case with good luck.

Heh... might have been interested at $9.99, if only I didn't know that business accounts could get it for $7.64. Frown

you can add a free business profile to your prime account. its better to add a profile vs convert your account since some items are less on regular accounts. but there have been a number of deals recently that have lower pricing on business profiles where it seems worth having one.

I think a lot of this bike riders knew there was such thing as Shaken Phone Syndrome, but that's not the sort of thing you say aloud.

Even with "anti-vibration" or whatever it claims….why even risk it? Just get an arm mount/holder

It does actually work. My Samsung camera phones lense pokes out perfectly. The mounting system is better than many bike lights I've used.
But you do have to clamp it to your phone as hard as you can before you lock it if you expect to go over the slightest bump. Which one would expect to do anyway if they didn't advertise "one hand operation"
