I've had this saw for a while, and the best tip I could give you is to replace the bar and chain with an equivalent Oregon. The bar it comes with, though they say is Oregon, is more flimsy than normal. I'd order the new bar and chain to have available. Also make sure to get the correct sharpening kit as it's smaller than normal!

Besides that - I think it's a kick ass saw, and works so well for most home owners, especially if you're already in the Milwaukee ecosystem.

I have one of these and it leaks oil like crazy. Have they fixed that problem yet?

What sharpening kit do you recommend?

Am I missing something, I don't see the battery as the forge?

It depends, there a lot of different types - i think this is a 5/32 low profile chain. Check with Milwaukee to make sure. I got a style that's like the stihl all in one sharpener just recently I haven't tried. The kind that knocks the rake down while sharpening the blade at the same time. Haven't used it yet. Previously I was using a simple more conventional rod / guide system, then bastard filing the rake down a touch. I'm happy I have both chains now though, since I can just swap them if I need to.

But it doesn't say that anywhere, and it's not available in store to verify.

Sure, but it would be nice to know for sure rather than someone saying their friend got it.

Mine is being delivered tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out then.

The Stihl 2in1 sharpener mentioned above is excellent and super easy to use. Take your saw to a Stihl dealer to make sure you get the correct size.

Ok, I received mine today, and it does say Forge battery on the box.
