Exact same situation. Subscription ending soon, and didn't want to autorenew at $80, so decided to cancel.

Got the $19.99 offer while cancelling.

Did not work on this end. However, my subscription is ending November 2025. I went to cancel the subscription and did not get the renewal pop up for $19.99
Oh well, I guess I will look again around Black Friday for a Peacock deal like last year's $19.99

Thanks for this, my plan ends at the end of May, went to cancel and got the #19.99 offer and I have the Amex offer for $7.99 off!! FYI there are a lot of good shows/movies on Peacock, but we subscribe primarily to watch the Premier League.

Plan ending 5/27. I was offered 6 months @ 1.99/month. Didn't take it as with the Amex offer getting 3 months "free" (7.99 back on 7.99 up to three times)

I'd pick this up, but I created a second account to take advantage of the Black Friday $20 deal and let my other account expire in February. It's a steal at that price.

I like Peacock; it's loaded with things my kids like to watch, with my son requesting it most when I forbid his watching Youtube trash. Ads are annoying, but they're much less frequent than Amazon's ad-tier, and with movies they're only packed at the beginning.
It has most Universal Studios movies along with early streaming for just-from-theaters movies, and many of the original series are excellent.

I'd recommend Day of the Jackal to anyone who enjoys a good spy thriller. Eddie Redmayne is excellent in the role.
Also, Mrs Davis is a great screwball comedy / mystery by Damon Lindelof that was criminally ignored.
While Macgruber isn't for everyone, enjoyers of the movie will love the series. It made me a happy man to get a follow-up.

This deal worked for me. My annual subscription was ending in June and was set to auto-renew at full price ($79). I cancelled and the $19.99/yr offer showed up, and I accepted. I also had the $7.99 Amex deal, so it will effectively be $12 for an entire year subscription. Thanks!

The deal worked for me as well. Peacock will stream at least on NFL game exclusively and a few Big Ten Football games. Add the English Premier League matches, movies and shows and this remains a very good deal.

I am on the free plan with Xfinity internet but I switch internet plans and my peacock membership ends in June. Doesn't pop up when I go to cancel.
