It was almost $150 cheaper to book directly with the rental company.

Note Chase shows the final price with taxes/fees, while booking will show the price without taxes/fees, so you need to click through booking to see what the final price will be, this often makes a seemingly lower rate on booking to be pretty much identical to the Chase price.
The interface on chase travel for hotels SUCKS. I like booking.com interface best of all the sites I have used.

Same for hotel prices. Chase Travel shows mostly higher prices than directly booking at some chain hotels so it negates most of the $100 back.
I travel for work so I'll be able to use up most on hotel stays

Thanks! I knew it shows up as 2 transactions on the credit card statement so this helps a lot!
